Could not start rdr device driver

Could not load MRxSMB Device Driver by maddiuex · 19 years ago In reply to Could not load MRxSMB Dev This did not help either, This is very much investigated and .  · Upon inspection I have found that the Net Logon Service does not start up due to the Workstation service dependability. Te latter does not start up with windows either (not at all to speak the truth). \I have logged on locally to try and start the service but I keep getting the same result. Upon checking the event logs I have found these errors.  · Description: Could not load RDR device driver. I haven't made any recent change to my server. I have compared the DLL files on c:\windows\system32\drivers with the other cluster node, and all files are the same.

a) Click "Start", go to "Run", and type "msconfig" in the open box to start the System Configuration Utility. b) Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click Disable All (if it is not gray). c) Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK". Could not load RDR device driver. If that does not solve it or you do not have any HP services installed, boot the computer clean with MSCONFIG, than divide and conquer with half the services. You could try just dumping all the backup '.sys' files into the drivers folder, then any that are missing would theorecitally get put back, and any that are corrupted should be replaced.
